Well-Child Specialist
Well-Child Visits in Las Vegas & Henderson, NV
Regular well-child visits are the cornerstone of your child’s preventive care. At Nevada Pediatric Specialists, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics schedule for checkups from newborn through young adulthood — monitoring growth, development, and immunizations so small issues get caught before they become big ones.
What Happens at a Well-Child Visit?
A well-child visit is much more than a quick measurement and a shot. Our providers take time to review your child’s physical growth, developmental milestones, behavioral patterns, social-emotional health, and school performance. We update vaccines, complete required screenings, and address whatever is on your mind as a parent.
For teenagers, we include age-appropriate confidential conversations about mental health, sexual health, substance use, and other topics the AAP recommends for adolescent wellness.

School, Sports & Camp Forms
Need a completed physical form for school enrollment, sports participation, or summer camp? We complete these at well-child visits and can also accommodate them during a dedicated physical exam appointment. Walk-in availability makes it easy to take care of forms before deadlines.
Vaccines at Every Well-Child Visit
We administer vaccines on the full AAP-recommended schedule. We do not support alternative or delayed immunization schedules. If you have questions about a specific vaccine, we welcome that conversation — our providers will take the time to share the evidence and address your concerns honestly. Don’t forget: an annual flu vaccine is recommended for all children 6 months and older.
